Stress Relief Technology
SRT method
Sodick's SRT-method, which can resist the stresses encountered in metallic 3DP, ensures safe and reliable molding
Issues with metallic 3D printers
In metal 3D printers, the process of melting and solidifying metal powder by laser irradiation heat is repeated.
The powder melts at the melting point and then hardens when it cools down. However, the heat shrinkage caused by the temperature difference becomes a pulling force during this cold process, causing the mold itself to warp.
Stress accumulates every time layers are piled up, and cracks occur in the worst mold.
The molding itself cannot be established!

SRT-method (Stress Relief Technology)
The SRT method releases the stress before it increases too much.
Organizational stability is achieved by performing simple heat treatment in the molding room at regular intervals suitable for molding.
The SRT method reduces warpage and cracks, enabling stable shaping regardless of size.
In addition, when combined with the cutting function of the OPM series, high-precision finishing can be achieved in one-process on the machine without having to change the set-up.

Accuracy improvement by the SRT method was verified, and each dimensional accuracy was compared with the verification model.
